This is my final context book, perfect bound by hand, with a papercut front & back cover and an accompanying black paper band.

I printed out a draft copy of my book to check for errors and layout problems, which you can see I have made a note of on the actual pages (images below) and I have also uploaded screen shots of each final DPS of the book, from start to finish, except the cover as that will be papercut.

I love the use of man made and digital design in this poster (found here) I think the mixture of actual physical paper pieces photographed with added digital text creates a certain quality of texture and layers. You can also see the making of video below the image.

Context Book - Resources

For a section in my book I would really like to compile a list of resources for things such as

* Paper cut art and paper craft.
* Buying papercutting supplies (such as craft knifes etc)
* People who create papercut work
* Companies that have used papercut art for commercial purposes
* Helpful books about materials, techniques, processes and designers who incorporate paper as a main tool to communicate.

I think this would be really beneficial to people looking at my book who are interested in papercut art work and paper engineering as I have found it difficult to find new work, by contemporary designers or if I have found work I have found it really difficult to name the people who created the work. I would really like to create a book that, If I had found when I had started becoming interested in paper cutting, would be an immediate go to source for information.

Context Book - Layouts

The following images are of the interviews I conducted and have laid out in my one of my initial layout ideas which is just a mock up on plain printer paper, to see how the size and feel of the book is at the moment. I thought it was important to create all interviews with the same 'template' layout as I could then see how they work together and if they clash, look boring or need something extra added. Looking back at them now I think it would be important to add the interviewed persons details of where to find there work, on the pages it is shown, to credit them. This could then be expanded in the appendix, that could also include a bibliography of books I have used to research work and books that would be useful to people interested in paper manipulation.
