Stationery Range Brief - Structure Research

The following images are from a book called "Japan Style" by by Daisann McLane, Angelika Taschen, and Reto Guntli. The majority of these images inspired me in relation to the simple repetitive patterns in the architecture and the simple shapes that are used to create a more intricate pattern or design. This is something I would like to try and develop with my stationery imagery. I think these kind of simple structural designs & patterns would look great as a repeated papercut pattern on the front of a notebook or as a papercut pattern on a brown paper bag.

I included the following images for the structural shapes and geometric designs within the objects and the repetitive nature of the designs.
